Patty Mills reacts to joining the Brooklyn Nets

Patty Mills opened up about his decision to leave the San Antonio Spurs and sign with the Brooklyn Nets in the offseason.

Mills believes it was the right time to leave the Spurs and open a new chapter in his career, after spending the past 10 years in San Antonio.

“I think it was an opportunity for me to turn a page in a new chapter. The conversation that I had with Kevin [Durant] was so pure and so genuine, being able to understand that he’s such a pure hooper.

The familiar faces around the organization were very comfortable, especially for my wife,” Mills said, via Kristian Winfield of New York Daily News and Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Patty Mills agreed to a two-year deal with the Nets, worth a total of $12M, with the 2022/23 season being a player option.
