Knicks’ Nerlens Noel blames Rich Paul for $58M loss in earnings

Current New York Knicks center Nerlens Noel has sued former agent Rich Paul and his agency Klutch Sports for a $58 million loss in potential earnings, per SportsAgentBlog.

Noel claims Paul ignored calls from several teams during the 2020 and the 2021 offseason, while he was responsible for him passing up on the four-year, $70 million deal the Dallas Mavericks offered him in 2017.

Noel claims in the lawsuit that Klutch didn’t make him a priority when he was a free agent, wasn’t responsive to teams looking to sign him as a free agent. The Knicks’ big fired Paul last season after signing with the Knicks.

The Kentucky product signed a $32M deal with the New York Knicks this offseason, after a successful 2020-21campaign. The deal was negotiated by Noel’s new agent, George Langberg.

Paul is considered an NBA super agent representing some of the top athletes in the league, including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Trae Young, Draymond Green, and Ben Simmons.
