It appears that Jared Dudley is retiring as a player after 14 seasons in the NBA. The latest reports suggest that the 36-year-old forward reached an agreement with the Dallas Mavericks to become an assistant coach to Jason Kidd.

Dudley spent his last two seasons as a player with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning his first ring with the team in 2020. He became an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The news of Dudley being in talks with the Mavs was spotted by LeBron James who took to Twitter to share his reaction. “Congrats to my guy if this true, which is probably is! But 🤦🏾‍♂️ man!! F*CK 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣” Lakers star tweeted.
