The Los Angeles Lakers newcomer Malik Monk will team up with three NBA superstars next season in LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook.

According to the 23-year-old shooting guard, playing alongside these three players will make things easier for him because they attract so much attention from the opposing defense.

“It will open everything up for me,” Monk said of playing alongside James, Davis and Westbrook, per Jacob Rude of Silver Screen and Roll. “A lot more easier shots, a lot more uncontested shots, a lot more drives where I can get downhill because LeBron, AD and Russ are going to make the floor more spaced out for all of us.”

This past season was Monk’s best thus far as he averaged 11.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the Charlotte Hornets.
