Collin Sexton reportedly not expected to receive max contract from the Cleveland Cavaliers

Collin Sexton and the Cleveland Cavaliers might work on a contract extension soon, despite the trade rumors that surfaced earlier this offseason.

Sexton has reportedly realized he is not getting the maximum contract neither from Cleveland nor from another NBA team, per Chris Fedor of cleveland.com.

Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton seems to realize he will not be receiving a maximum contract offer from the franchise, per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com. Sexton has been the subject of trade rumors for much of the offseason, but it seems those talks have cooled lately.

“I think there’s a recognition on Collins’s part that they’re not getting the max, not from Cleveland and not from another team in the NBA,” Fedor said on the Wine & Gold podcast.

Sexton is coming off an impressive campaign for the Cavaliers, leading the team with 24.3 points per game while dishing out 4.4 assists. The ‘Young Bull’ shot an effective 47 percent from the field this past season.
