Hamidou Diallo re-signing with Pistons

Restricted free agent guard Hamidou Diallo has signed a two-year, $10.4 million deal to return to the Detroit Pistons, his agents told Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Pistons will have roster decisions to make for the regular season, as they have to make room for Diallo since there are now 16 players on guaranteed contracts, notes ESPN’s Bobby Marks.

NBA teams are allowed 15 to start the season.

Last season, Diallo averaged 11.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 52 total games with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Pistons.

Back in March, the 23-year-old was dealt from the Thunder to the Pistons in exchange for Svi Mykhailiuk.

Diallo joins a young Pistons’ core that will feature rookie Cade Cunningham, as well as second-year players Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart and Killian Hayes.
