Filip Petrusev is nearing a deal with EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes, as multiple sources report, including Mozzartsport and Sportando (hat tip to Eurohoops).

Petrusev is expected to be a key part of Efes’ rotation, taking the spot of Sertac Sanli who left the EuroLeague champions for FC Barcelona.

Petrusev will have the option to opt out of his contract and continue his career in the NBA, if the opportunity arises. The former Gonzaga big was selected with the 50th overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Petrusev spent the previous season in ABA and Serbian league’s Mega Soccerbet. He averaged 23.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in 21 games with Mega.
