Wizards sign rookie Isaiah Todd to four-year deal

Washington Wizards rookie Isaiah Todd has agreed to a four-year, $7 million rookie deal, with three guaranteed seasons, his agents told Shams Charania.

Todd, who was the No. 31 pick in this year’s draft, spent last season playing with the G League Ignite team.

The 19-year-old averaged 12.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 43.7 percent from the field in 15 games (24.4 minutes per game).

Todd and the Wizards have yet to play a Summer League game, as their first game was postponed due to health and safety protocols.

They did not have enough players to proceed with the game due to contact tracing.

Three players including Todd, Cassius Winston and Issuf Sanon, were placed into health and safety protocols on Aug. 7.

The Wizards are scheduled to play the Sacramento Kings tonight, but it remains unclear if that game will be postponed as well.
