Goran Dragic was part of the blockbuster trade that sent Kyle Lowry to the Miami Heat in exchange for the Slovenian veteran guard.

The Raptors have reportedly resisted in trading or buying out Dragic, despite the fact that the Canadians are expected to re-tool their team after Lowry’s trade.

Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News and Zoran Savin shared a video, where Dragic admits that Toronto is not his preferred destination.

Dragic could provide veteran leadership to a young group of players in Toronto as the Raptors are expected to build their long-term future around Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby, Fred VanVleet and maybe Pascal Siakam.

However, Dragic still has one year left in his contract worth of $19.44M, and his future is still in the air as the Dallas Mavericks and other teams reportedly showed interest in acquiring him.

Dragic spent the last six years of his career with the Heat. This past season, the 35-year-old guard averaged 13.4 points, 4.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 50 games while playing 26.7 minutes per game.
