Toronto Raptors are determined to keep Goran Dragic, and they are not expected to work on a buy out with the veteran guard, per Marc Stein.

Toronto acquired Dragic and Precious Achiuwa from the Heat as part of a sign-and-trade agreement that sent Kyle Lowry to Miami.

The 35-year-old guard could become an important part of the Raptors’ re-tooling as a veteran presence, after parting ways with Kyle Lowry.

The Raptors have not engaged in buyout discussions and are rebuffing trade advances from other teams. Dallas is reported as one of the possible suitors as they are hoping to bring Dragic alongside his fellow Slovenian star Luka Doncic.

It’s possible the Raptors will eventually move on from Dragic; however there has been no reporting on any hesitation from Dragic about playing in Toronto.
