Nicolas Batum handed France the win over Slovenia in an epic showdown in the second semi-final of the Olympic Tournament (90-89).

With three seconds remaining for the end of regulation, Batum blocked the lay-up attempt of Klemen Prepelic and ensured France will play in the Final of the tournament.

Before that, it was an epic showdown between the two teams. With nine lead changes and 11 ties and Slovenia coming back from a 10-point deficit in the second half (69-59), the game was decided in the final seconds.

Nando De Colo had the chance to seal the deal for France, but missed the two-pointer and Slovenia could win the game in the final play. But, Prepelic was blocked by Batum and France clinched its spot in the gold medal game.

De Colo (25 points) and Evan Fournier (23 points) combined for 48 points for the winners, while Nicolas Batum and Rudy Gobert (nine points, 16 rebounds) had four blocks each.

On the other hand, Prepelic had 17 points, with Mike Tobey adding 23 and eight boards. For his part, Luka Doncic posted a triple-double, with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 18 assists.

France will now clash with Team USA in a rematch from the opener of the tournament. On the other hand, Slovenia will face Australia in the bronze medal game.

Earlier today, Team USA dominated Australia and qualified for the Final of the tournament.
