Pau Gasol played his last game as a member of the Spanish national team, as ‘La Roja’ fell to the United States in the quarterfinal of the Olympic tournament.
Pau and Marc Gasol both announced their retirement from the Spanish national team after the loss. After these announcements, Frenchman Rudy Gobert took to Twitter to congratulate Gasol on his incredible career.
Gasol won 11 medals with Spain in multiple international competitions, including four gold medals in EuroBasket and the FIBA World Cup. He also won silver in 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Gasol, who played for FC Barcelona this past season, has yet to decide on his future in basketball.
