Jeff Green reportedly leaves Nets to join Nuggets

Denver Nuggets agreed to a two-year deal with former Brooklyn Nets’ forward Jeff Green. Malika Andrews of ESPN was the first to report on the free agency signing.

Green signed a 2-year, $10 million deal, having a player option for the second year of his contract. The 34-year-old has averaged 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 threes across 976 regular-season appearances.

The NBA journeyman spent the 2020-21 season with the Brooklyn Nets, playing an important rotational role for the star-studded Nets’ roster.

He averaged 11.0 points while shooting 49.2 percent from the field, including 41.2 percent from deep. He is expected to have a similar role for the Nuggets, who were searching for a reliable bench option this offseason.
