As free agency is just a day away, more names are emerging as potential candidates for the Los Angeles Lakers. Broderick Turner, Andrew Greif and Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times report that veteran shooting guard Wayne Ellington has interest in rejoining the team that he played for during the 2014-2015 season.
Ellington, 33, most recently played for the Detroit Pistons. Last season, he appeared in 46 games averaging 9.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, making 38.2% of his three-pointers. The former first round pick spent 12 years in the NBA while playing for nine different teams.
The guard became an unrestricted free agent this summer after his one-year deal with the Pistons expired.
