Kevin Durant is coached by Gregg Popovich for the first time in his career as Team USA is hoping to return to the top of the basketball world in the Tokyo Olympics.

Durant released an interview on the ETCs podcast on his YouTube channel called Boardroom yesterday. The topics of conversation were primarily focused on the Tokyo Olympics and KD’s outlook towards it.

KD shared his thoughts on his experience under Popovich and expressed his enthusiasm about his accomplishments in San Antonio with the Spurs.

“He has been good. Pop challenges you every day – your mentality, your IQ for the game. Physically he challenges you because the practices are tough. He likes to joke a lot too.”

“If you’ve got a little wit to you, then I think you can survive playing under Pop. And it’s good to be around the guys that work with him too. Chip Engelland, Steve Kerr, they’ve all worked and been around Pop since decades.”
