Spain and Serbia were victorious in their respective opening games in the Women’s Olympic Tournament.
In their first game in the competition, Spain saw Korea come back from a 13-point deficit (58-71), but stood tall and started the tournament with a 69-73 win.
For their part, Serbia defeated Canada in a hard-fought battle and made the first step towards the knockout stage.
The Serbians led by eight at halftime (36-28), but the Canadians outscored them 9-17 in the third quarter to tie the game (45-45).
In the final part of the game, though, Serbia made some clutch shots and sealed the deal in crunch time (72-68).
