Team USA head coach Gregg Popovich did not forget the devastating loss to France in the FIBA World Cup ahead of the opening matchup in Tokyo vs. Rudy Gobert and co.

“We’ve been preparing for France for two years,” the veteran coach said. “I think about it every day.”
France has a strong roster for the Tokyo Games, including Jazz center Rudy Gobert, Celtics wing Evan Fournier, Clippers forward Nicolas Batum and Knicks guard Frank Ntilikina.
So, Team USA, who is considered the favorite to win the Gold in Tokyo, should take the French team seriously. Tokyo Basketball Olympic tournament is set to begin Sunday.
