Kristaps Porzingis shared his thoughts on his playoff role with the Dallas Mavericks and the struggles he faced during the postseason.

Porzingis said he wasn’t happy with his role in the team, but eventually accepted it and tried to do his job.

“At the start it was hard for me to accept my role because I’m not used to having my part reduced like that. I was put in the corner and did my job like a soldier,” Porzingis told Sports Studio in Latvia, via Reddit.

Porzingis averaged 13.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in the series vs the Clippers, which the Mavericks lost 4-3.
