Khris Middleton on Jrue Holiday: “He has great instincts”

The Milwaukee Bucks came up with a hard fought win over the Phoenix Suns in Game 5 to take a 3-2 lead on Saturday night. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton combined for 61 points, but if it wasn’t for the play of Jrue Holiday, the Bucks wouldn’t have sparked a momentum swinging 16 point comeback in the 2nd quarter.

With Antetokounmpo on the bench to start the 2nd down 37-21, Holiday played out of his mind by scoring or assisting on 8 of the 9 plays that helped tie the game at 42-42. Jrue’s impact would continue on into the 3rd and 4th quarter, as he stole the ball from Devin Booker with 20 seconds left and threw Giannis a fast break alley oop to help seal the victory.

Milwaukee Bucks teammate Khris Middleton applauded Holiday’s 27 points, 13 assists, 4 rebounds & 3 steals during postgame after the Game 5 win out in Phoenix.

(Via NBA):

“He has great instincts. Going against him, he’s a tough cover. He anticipates moves, knows what you like to do. Like I said before, on the offensive end, he’s strong. You feel that strength on the defensive side, too. He’s quick. He studies the game. On the offensive end, he’s one of the best finishers in the game at his position, but he’s also one of the better playmakers also in reading who to throw it to, whether to fake it and go or throw it up to Giannis.”
