This year, the Golden State Warriors will look to further develop James Wiseman’s skillset and help him become a factor in the offensive end, according to Steve Kerr.

The Warriors coach recently made an appearance on 95.7 The Game with Damon, Ratto & Kolskey, and talked about his plans on developing the sophomore center.

“We’re going into this season w/ a different mindset. Last year we threw him into the deep end a bit. This year will be much more streamlined, put him in positions to really help us on game nights….and really develop him on practice days.”

The three-time champion also spoke on Wiseman’s future with the organization, claiming the Warriors look Wiseman as their centerpiece in the ‘5’ position for the future.

“Over the long haul, we’re going to develop James, and we feel like he’s going to be our starting center at some point, for a long, long time ahead,” Kerr said.
