All-Star Game MVP Arike Ogunbowale is the future of the WNBA: 24-year-old destroys Team USA

Arike Ogunbowale gave out buckets to Team USA on Wednesday and went off for 26 explosive points to help earn herself WNBA All-Star Game MVP honors. The 24-year-old Dallas Wing took over in Las Vegas, as her shooting and play off the dribble caused problems for USA defenders all night.

Ogunbowale was recently left off the Team USA roster for Tokyo this summer, but the youngster isn’t sweating it and said during postgame that “all those girls are deserving” of a spot. All-Star teammate Jonquel Jones also said Arike is “young” and “will have her opportunity” for the Olympic squad one day.

The women’s game is in great hands for the future, and Arike Ogunbowale is at the center of that movement with her exciting skills.
