Bradley Beal in health and safety protocols

Washington Wizards star guard Bradley Beal has entered health and safety protocols at Team USA camp in Las Vegas, according to Shams Charania.

There is now a possibility that he may not be able to attend the Tokyo Olympic Games, but there is nothing definitive yet.

It’s unclear why Beal, 28, is in the health and safety protocols and how long he will have to remain there.

If Beal is forced to miss the Olympics, one of the select team members like Cleveland Cavaliers’ Darius Garland or San Antonio Spurs’ Keldon Johnson would be candidates to replace him.

Team USA plays two more scrimmages on July 16 and July 18 against Australia and Spain, respectively, before they travel to Tokyo.

They begin their Olympic tournament on July 25 against France.
