Steph Curry has accomplished everything a basketball player would have asked during his career. Despite his several richly deserved accolades, Curry has never won an NBA Finals MVP despite he played in five consecutive Finals and won three of them.
The Warriors superstar is a three-time champion, two-time MVP, two-time scoring champion, has made All-NBA seven times and is a seven-time All-Star.
His former teammate Andre Iguodala shared his thoughts on Curry never winning a Finals MVP so far in his career during his appearance in JJ Redick’s podcast “The Old Man and The Three”.
Iguodala was named Finals MVP and Kevin Durant took home the crown twice during the three Warriors’ championship runs.
“I do think Steph should have got one,” Iguodala said, per NBC Sports Bay Area. “Which one, I don’t know. One of the three.”
Iguodala averaged 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in the 2015 Finals while also shooting 40 percent from three-point range guarding also LeBron James throughout the series.
On the other side, Curry averaged 26.0 points, 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game and shot 38.5 percent from three-point range.
