Sertac Sanli made his first statement as a member of FC Barcelona after signing a two-year deal with the Catalans. The 29-year-old big left Turkey for the first time in his career, after a successful season with Efes.
“Barcelona is one of the biggest clubs in the world. When Barcelona wants you, you can’t think twice,” Sanli said, per Eurohoops. “When Barcelona calls you, you need to come, you need to join them.”
Sanli won both the EuroLeague and the Turkish BSL League titles the past season and he wants to bring this momentum with him in his new club.
“Winning everything basically,” Sanli said on his goals. “Barcelona usually wins everything: Football, basketball, handball. They want to win everything in all sports. And that’s what we want to do next season.”
