USA & France battled for the U19 FIBA World Cup title on Sunday in a matchup to remember.

The 7-foot-2 Victor Wembanyama went for an impressive 22 points, 8 rebounds & 8 blocks, but Kenneth Lofton Jr. used his polished post game to make big play after big play by putting up 16 points, 7 rebounds & 2 assists to lead USA to a gold medal win.

The two are players to watch for the future, as Wembanyama just signed with Tony Parker’s ASVEL club and Lofton Jr. is coming off winning Conference USA Freshman of the Year honors at Louisiana Tech University.

Another player to watch is USA’s Chet Holmgren, who averaged 11.9 PPG/6.1 RPG/3.3 APG in the event to help earn himself MVP honors. Holmgren will play his college basketball at Gonzaga University this upcoming season.
