Jayson Tatum’s reaction after Team USA’s loss to Nigeria

Team USA suffered a shocking loss in first scrimmage vs the Nigerian national team. According to Jayson Tatum, who had 15 points and 7 rebounds in 28 minutes of play for the Americans, the team has to play better and complacency could cost them games.

“It just kind of goes to show that, you know, we have to play better. And, on any given night, the team that plays harder and is more physical—anybody can win. It’s something we can learn from,” the Celtics star said on the postgame press conference.

The Americans were without Devin Booker, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday as all three players are battling in the NBA Finals. There are four more scrimmage games for Team USA left before the start of the Olympic Games. Their opponents will be Australia (twice), Argentina and Spain.
