Baskonia made a huge move in the offseason as the Spanish club came to an agreement with Simone Fontecchio for a three-year deal, as first reported by Robert Heusel.

After one season with ALBA Berlin, the Italian forward will move to ACB. The German club will receive a 250.000 euros buy-out, according to Eurohoops.

Fontecchio had an excellent season, averaging 10.6 points while shooting 38.8 percent from deep in the EuroLeague. The promising forward had 24 starts in the EuroLeague with ALBA last season.

He also registered 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest, shooting 53.3 percent from inside the three point line. This will be the fifth team on Fontecchio’s career after Virtus Bologna, Olimpia Milano, Reggio Emilia and ALBA Berlin.
