Skip Bayless says Bucks have a better chance without Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 1 vs. Suns

We are just a couple of hours away from the first game of the 2021 NBA Finals between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns.

The TV persona and NBA analyst Skip Bayless claimed the Bucks may have a better chance without Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 1, which will take place on Wednesday night.

Antetokounmpo suffered a knee hyperextension during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals series against the Atlanta Hawks.

Today, the Bucks upgraded their superstar status from doubtful to questionable ahead of Game 1 in Phoenix. To claim that a team has a better chance without their best player, if he is healthy and capable to play, is almost preposterous.

However, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday stepped up their game during Game 5 and 6 vs. Atlanta to lead their team to its first NBA Finals appearance since 1974.

It only remains to be seen if the two-time MVP will return, and how the Bucks will react as a team vs. a different opponent like the Phoenix Suns.
