22-year-old Aaron Wiggins has decided to remain in the 2021 NBA Draft and leave the University of Maryland.
The 2020 Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year improved every year during his time under head coach Mark Turgeon, working his way to becoming a starter last season. Wiggins averaged 14.5 PPG/5.8 RPG/2.5 APG/1.1 SPG on 44.6% from the field and 35.6% behind the three point line during his junior season in 2020-2021.
He recently told ESPN that teams ‘have been surprised’ by what he’s shown, as positive feedback played a big role in the former Maryland Terrapins guard’s decision.

“I’ve shown teams things they’ve never seen before. Teams have been surprised by what I showed. I’ve loved the information and feedback I’ve received and didn’t want to wait until the last minute with my decision. I’m ready to take the next step. At the end of the day, you have to make the best decision and the one that will benefit you the most.”
