New York Knicks head coach Derrick Fisher believes that superstar Carmelo Anthony will return on Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks in London.
Anthony though, who has missed the last four games remains listed as day-to-day ahead of the game at the 02 Arena.
The Knicks [5-35] are currently riding the NBA’s longest losing streak at 15 games following Minnesota’s 110-101 win over Indiana on Tuesday. New York last tasted success was on December 12, when they overcame the Boston Celtics 101-95.
Fisher was quietly optimistic about Anthony’s chances of playing though.
“We’ll see,” Fisher answered today when asked if Anthony will play on Thursday.
“We got practice today and I think he would love to play tomorrow, but we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves too quickly. He did good in practice yesterday. He’ll do more today and in the shoot around tomorrow we’ll then see how it goes.”

Like all teams that arrive in London though, Fisher is here on business and unlike all the coaches that arrive in Britain, is determined to break the losing streak. Hopefully, the change of scenery might help, but the first-year coach says that his team are just trying to get better.
“We’ll find out,” Fisher said. “We’re still embracing the process of trying to get better, this is a work trip for us. Guys are here enjoying the sights, but we’re here to work and hopefully we can get ourselves ready to play tomorrow night.”
