The Los Angeles Lakers are getting ready for the upcoming NBA Draft. According to Ohm Youngmisuk, the 2020 NBA champions will have Illinois’ freshman Giorgi Bezhanisvili in for a workout on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old Austrian/Georgian power forward averaged 5.1 points and 2.7 rebounds over 31 games for the Fighting Illini this past season. He made himself available for this year’s NBA Draft but is not currently projected to be drafted. The Lakers will have a single draft pick this year at 22 overall.
