Luka Doncic culminated his Olympic Qualifying Tournament by helping Slovenia to a 96-85 victory over Lithuania to reach the Tokyo Olympic Games.

With the win, Slovenia has made history by qualifying for their first Olympic Games.

The 22-year-old Dallas Mavericks star finished with a 31-point, 11-rebound, 13-assist triple-double and shot an efficient 12-of-23 from the field.

Denver Nuggets’ Vlatko Cancar also contributed 18 points, five rebounds and two steals.

Jaka Blazic came out firing from three-point, adding 16 points.

After Slovenia’s win against Venezuela in the Semifinals, Doncic said leading the team to a gold medal would be more important than winning the title with the Mavericks.

“I’d say gold medal with Slovenia. You play for your country and that’s something, but I wouldn’t mind both,” he said.

Doncic will now get the chance to do just that and make more history with Slovenia. Slovenia will be in Group C with Argentina, host Japan and Spain, and they begin their Olympic tournament against Argentina on July 26.

On the other hand, Lithuania failed to win the tournament and will miss the Olympic Games for the first time since 1992.
