Pat Connaughton on Giannis: “We obviously all see his basketball talent, but as a human being, he’s one of a kind”

With Giannis Antetokounmpo out with a left knee injury the last two games, Milwaukee needed players to step up, and their club answered the call. One of those Bucks players was veteran Pat Connaughton, who averaged 11.0 PPG on 40% from three point range during the Greek Freak’s absence.

Pat has been a member of this Milwaukee club since 2018, as Connaughton, Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Donte DiVincenzo are the only Bucks remaining from that group. During Game 6 postgame media availability, Connaughton took a short moment to recognize Giannis for being an outstanding player/person on and off the court.

“We obviously all see his basketball talent, but as a human being, he’s one of a kind. It’s one of the reasons I want to stay here, wanted to stay here, want to continue to stay here and play by his side because of the things he does both on and off the court.”
