Slovenia did not meet much resistance in their first match-up of the Olympic Qualifiers in Kaunas. Luka Doncic and the rest of the squad helped Slovenia run past Angola with a comfortable 118-68 victory.
Slovenia has now advanced to the semifinals, waiting to find out its opponent and its final place in Group B. Luka Doncic stayed on the court for just 17 minutes and produced 13 points, nine assists, and six rebounds.
Zoran Dragic led the winning side in scoring with 16 points, while Vlatko Cancar had 13 points and Mike Tobey added 12 for the Slovenian national team.
Slovenia faces Poland on Thursday, for a chance to seal the top spot of Group B. In the other matchups of the day for the Olympic Qualifying tournaments, Serbia outlasted the Philippines (83-76) in Belgrade, while Brazil blew past Croatia with 94-76 in Split.
