Hawks’ Trae Young to miss tonight’s Game 4

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young is out for Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks with a deep bone bruise in his right foot, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Malika Andrews.

Young exhausted every avenue to try and find a way to return to play, but a severe lack of mobility and significant degree of pain made it impossible, Wojnarowski adds.

The 22-year-old will continue to rehab with hopes of returning for Game 5 on July 1.

After suffering the injury in Game 3, Young said that it affected his speed.

“Really just my blow-by speed,” said Young. “I mean, that’s a big part of my game, is my ability just to blow by anybody. And when you’re on the left side and you’re trying to blow by, you got to use your right foot. … I was going down the left side — it was in a lot of pain. It’s more just the pushoff and the blow-by.”

The Hawks currently trail the Bucks 2-1 and could find themselves down 3-1 heading back to Milwaukee.
