Serbia, Lithuania begin with wins in the Olympic Qualifiers openers

Serbia and Lithuania have kicked off their journey to the Olympic Qualifiers tournaments with comfortably wins. The Serbia national team prevailed with a 94 – 76 win over the Domenican Republic to secure the first place in Belgrade.

Boban Marjanovic led Serbia with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Filip Petrusev added 17 points. Reigning EuroLeague and Final Four MVP Vasilije Micic put up 16 points and five assists for Serbia.

Lithuania secured a victory over Venezuela with 76-65 in Kaunas thanks to their dominant front-court duo of Jonas Valanciunas and Domantas Sabonis.

Valanciunas finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Domantas Sabonis followed him with 12 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
