Chauncey Billups is in advanced talks to become the new head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Billups, the current assistant coach of the Clippers, is set to take over the head coaching job of the Blazers, says Wojnarowski.
The NBA legend has also talked with Portland superstar Damian Lillard, while he is expected to sign a long-term deal.
Billups is a five-time NBA All-Star and the MVP of the 2004 NBA Finals as a member of the Detroit Pistons.
