Washington Wizards have two assistant coaches as the top candidates to replace Scott Brooks for the team’s head coaching vacancy.
According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, Sam Cassell and Wes Unseld Jr. are the front-runners to take over the Wizards’ as head coaches for the next season.

“Watch Sam Cassell and Wes Unseld as two of the leading candidates in Washington,” said Brian Windhorst.
Cassell was previously an assistant coach for the Wizards from 2009 until 2014 before joining the coaching staff of Doc Rivers with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Wes Unseld Jr. started his career in Washington, and also has had stints with the Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic and now the Denver Nuggets.
