Suns’ Cameron Payne exits Game 3 with ankle injury

Phoenix Suns announced Cameron Payne has suffered a left ankle sprain after getting injured in the first quarter of Game 3 vs. the Clippers.

Payne was injured in the first quarter when he appeared to roll his ankle going after a loose ball. He only played four minutes before the injury occurred.

The 26-years old was fantastic covering for Chris Paul as the veteran superstar missed the first two games of the Conference Finals due to health and safety protocols.

He’s averaging 11.8 points and 3.9 assists in 12 playoff games until Thursday night scoring a career-high 29 points in the Suns’ Game 2 win over LA.
