DeAndre Ayton beats the buzzer to give Suns a 2-0 lead over the Clippers

In a late thriller in Phoenix, DeAndre Ayton beat the buzzer and handed his team a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals.

With 0.9 seconds to go, Ayton scored the game-winning two-pointer and the Suns went on to defeat the Clippers at home (103-104).

It was a hard-fought battle, with 11 lead changes and no team taking a double-digit lead in the game. The Clippers were down by nine in the second half, but turned things around and had the chance to ”steal” the victory.

Yet, Paul George (26 points) missed two crucial free throws and Ayton (24 points, 14 rebounds) gave the lead back to Phoenix in the next possession, sealing the deal for the winners.

The Suns now lead the series 2-0. Games 3 and 4 will take place at Staples Center on Thursday and Saturday.
