The Lakers attempted to trade Kyle Kuzma for Spencer Dinwiddie before the trade deadline on March 25, according to Nets Daily.

The deal never progressed, however this indicates the intention of the Lakers to part ways with Kuzma, who didn’t perform at high level this season.

“Reportedly, the Nets were engaged in talks at the deadline with the [Golden State] Warriors that would have sent the point guard to Golden State for Kelly Oubre and to Los Angeles and the Lakers for Kyle Kuzma,” wrote Net Income of NetsDaily.

For his part, Dinwiddies, who missed the season due to an ACL injury, will be a free agent this season, so the Lakers could pursue him in the offseason.
