Update: Nets’ James Harden plans to play in Game 5

In a turn of events, Brooklyn Nets star James Harden now plans to play tonight in Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks barring a setback in pregame warmups, according to Shams Charania.

Harden was originally upgraded from out to doubtful and then doubtful to questionable.

Harden, who is “determined” to be cleared to play Game 5, worked his sore hamstring through shoot-around without an issue and will do the same on the court prior to tip-off, notes Adrian Wojnarowski.

If Harden ultimately plays, the Nets will only be missing one of their “Big 3” in Kyrie Irving, who is out with a sprained right ankle.

Having Harden back would be a major boost for a Nets team that has lost two consecutive games and are now tied 2-2 with the Bucks.

The hope is that he doesn’t aggravate the hamstring injury and risk suffering a worse injury that puts him out for a long time.
