Brooklyn Nets saw another superstar going down with an injury after Kyrie Irving exited Game 4 vs. Milwaukee due to an ankle issue.
According to ESPN’s Malika Andrews, X-rays on Irving’s right ankle came back negative. Head coach Steve Nash shared that the 29-year-old point guard will undergo further testing and continue to treat the injury.
Irving left pivotal Game 4 in the second quarter after coming down on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s foot. As a result, the Nets ruled Irving out for the rest of the game.
Rachel Nichols of ESPN reported that Irving ‘was in a walking boot and using crutches after spraining his ankle’. The Nets could not find enough offense without Irving in their lineup.
The Bucks limited Brooklyn to 97 points and secured a much-needed 106-97 win to tie the semifinal series. Brooklyn is also missing James Harden, who was injured during Game 1 vs. the Bucks.
Game 5 of the series between Brooklyn and Milwaukee is on Tuesday.
