Utah Jazz star guard Donovan Mitchell was forced to exit Game 3 vs. the Los Angeles Clippers after tweaking his right ankle in the fourth quarter.

Mitchell then immediately called for a substitution, but he eventually walked back to the Jazz bench. He did not re-enter the game, with Los Angeles holding a double-digit lead.

After the game, Mitchell, who had a brief talk with HC Quin Snyder after returning to the bench, claimed he is in good shape.

(via sportingnews.com):

“I’m good. That’s all I got for you,” Mitchell said. “I’m good. It happened. The situation happened. I feel like I was able to go back, but no need to risk it down 16, 18 at that point.

So, I’ll be fine. . . . It’s when I land. It’s been just trying to manage it. I don’t really know what else to tell you. I don’t want to say too much, though. It was just the landing, but I’m good. I’ll be ready for Game 4.”

Mitchell finished the game with 30 points on 11-of-24 shooting, however he could not prevent Utah Jazz’s 106-132 blowout loss in Game 3.
