The Denver Nuggets suffered a tough loss to the Phoenix Suns (98-123) which greatly upset NBA legend Charles Barkley, especially after being second big loss in a row for Michael Malone’s team.
Barkley was disappointed with the performance of newly crowned NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and the whole team. “This game reminded me of the Milwaukee Bucks game the other night where they were like ‘we just quit, this game is over, we’re not going to compete,'” he said.
“When you get a day off in between [games], after you get your butt kicked in Game 1, you get MVP the day before, and then you come out and don’t give any effort?”
