Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has completed his 18th season in the NBA. Despite not being a favorite to win the MVP award, which was eventually given to Nikola Jokic, he received MVP votes.

As observed by HoopsHype, it was the 18th straight season that James received MVP votes which puts him atop the list of NBA players with most seasons with MVP votes.

LeBron overcame Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who received MVP votes in 17 out of his 20 seasons. James averaged 25 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game this past regular season.
