Luka Doncic put up a stellar performance for the Dallas Mavericks in the first round series against the Los Angeles Clippers. The 22-year-old Slovenian star averaged 35.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.3 assists over 7 playoff games.

In Game 7 loss, he scored 46 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 14 assists but it wasn’t enough for the Mavs to win. It was also his third game in this series when he had 40 or more points.

After the game, Clippers stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George spoke highly of Doncic, praising his performance in the series. “He did everything,” Leonard said.

“I don’t know how many 40-point games he had, I believe 3. Shooting very efficiently from three for sure, off the dribble shots, just doing it all for his team. He’s a great player. Your’ going to see him for many years to come. He’s playing at his own pace and making it look easy out there.”

“He played off the charts last year in the playoffs. To be honest at a young age like that you knew he could get better, you knew there was room for improvement, of course,” George said. “He was even more awesome. He just plays with so much confidence and his game is just so beyond his age. He pretty much can pick up and read almost any defence. We threw a lot at him he was still able to keep his team afloat and just improvize. He’s going to be great, he’s got big huge future ahead of him.”
