Trae Young makes Hawks history after 35-point game in win vs. Philadelphia

Trae Young led the Atlanta Hawks to a 128-124 win over the Philadelphia 76ers as Nate McMilan’s squad took an 1-0 lead away from home.

Young was unstoppable early in the first half putting up 25 of his 35 points and helping the Hawks score 71 points during the first 24 minutes of the contest.

The All-Star finished with a double-double of 35 points and 10 assists, becoming the first Hawks player to register this kind of numbers in a playoff game.

He also became the first player since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to score 30 points in each of his first four career playoff road games. The NBA legend did that as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.
