GM Rob Pelinka was satisfied with the quality of the roster of the Los Angeles Lakers, despite their early playoff exit.
Pelinka explained what went wrong and said the Lakers had a ‘championship caliber roster’.
“We feel like the roster we had this year was a championship caliber roster and obviously there were a lot of things that came into the mix beyond our control that kept us from winning a championship,” Pelinka said, via Lakers Nation.
Despite the high expectations, the Lakers failed to defend their title and lost to the Phoenix Suns in the first round (4-2).
