Terry Stotts reportedly a candidate for head coach position, if the Pacers move on from Nate Bjorkgren

Portland Trail Blazers’ former head coach Terry Stotts could be a candidate for the Indiana Pacers, if the franchise decides to part ways with head coach Nate Bjorkgren report Shams Charania and Jason Quick of The Athletic.

With a disappointing ending to their seasons, the Pacers may look to make several changes to their setup, especially in the coaching staff.

Indiana finished at 34-38, were the ninth seed in the East, and lost the opening play-in game to Washington. However, that was not the biggest issue for the team during the season.

Several Pacers’ players had an issue with Bjorkgren’s attitude in the team’s locker room, seeing him as negative, not a guy who built relationships with them and had them believing he was on their side.

Stotts has a positive record with the Blazers having an excellent relationship with the franchise’s cornerstone Damian Lillard. The veteran coach led the Blazers to eight playoff appearances including a Conference Finals run.
